ISLAMIC, Fatimids. Uncertain, AH 400s / AD 1000s. 1/4 Dinar (Gold, 17 mm, 0.94 g, 9 h), a contemporary imitation, uncertain mint, AH 460s =AD 1070s. Cf. Album 28 (2017), 1485 (for similar type). Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, good very fine.

This coin was probably struck during the reign of Roberto il Guiscardo, after the Normans expelled the Fatimids from Sicily.
